2. Tune with the hammer.
Making tines longer (from the point where they are held down on the bridge) will lower their pitch, and making them shorter will make their pitch higher.

It's my first Kalimba and I am absolutely in love with it! It's so beautiful and the sound is great. The only things I didn't like is that it doesn't come with a case and that the stickers are bright red and blue (It's just not that pretty so I used a nail laquer in a more subtle colour to mark).
